Pearson Island - Eyre Peninsula - SA   
Situated in the Great Australian Bight and accessible from Elliston, on SA's West Coast, Pearson and Flinders Islands are truly remarkable pieces of offshore real estate. Their remoteness has ensured that they are still in much the same condition as when Matthew Flinders discovered and named them in 1802 — and this includes their remarkable fish life.
Monster King George whiting are what draws adventurous anglers to both islands, but there are dozens of other inshore and deep reef varieties available as well. Giant blue groper, snapper, samson fish, yellowtail kings and tuna are on tap according to season for deep water enthusiasts, while the whiting (averaging 55cm!), big Australian salmon and monster flathead abound inshore. It's essentially a 'best of both worlds' situation that caters for most angling tastes and aspirations. And if one of your angling dreams is to crack the magic one kilogram mark on King George whiting, there are few places in the country where that ambition is more likely to be fulfilled than around Flinders and Pearson.

Inshore fishing tackle is provided, but if you're keen to try your luck in the deep water, we suggest you bring your own. Our skippers know these waters intimately and will put you over reefs that consistently produce excellent fishing. It's quite often a 'lucky dip' situation offshore, with plenty of variety to test your equipment and fishing skills. And, as a bonus, practically every fish you're likely to catch will be great to eat, so taking home a good feed for family and friends is always on the cards.
