For many years Shane Mensforth has been advising and guiding keen angling charter clients in various South Australian, interstate and overseas locations. He has done this via his fishing-related business and activities, through a variety of media avenues, marine consultancy and, of course, directly to fellow anglers.

In conjunction with the team from Outback Encounter, the guiding and charter side of the business was established in the form of ‘Ultimate Fishing’.

Outback Encounter is a successful travel company specialising in ‘Off the Beaten Path’ custom made travel for the discerning international and Australian client.

Outback Encounter is owned and operated by brother and sister team, Drew and Megan Kluska, and emerged as the perfect vehicle to co-ordinate and endorse Shane’s fishing charter objective. Drew and Megan specialise in tailoring adventure travel for those who expect the highest quality service and experiences. When the two entities decided to go into enterprise, the resultant company, ‘Ultimate Fishing’, simply had to live up to its name.

And so ‘Ultimate Fishing’ was created.

Whilst there are a myriad of first-class charter fishing operators in both South Australia and the rest of the Australia, there has always been a market void that needed to be filled. ‘Ultimate Fishing’ is able to do this by offering anglers a variety of destinations, superb guides, fishing styles and tailored packages — all under the one banner.

Shane has hosted the likes of Rex Hunt, Tony Lockett, Garry McDonald and Rhonda Burchmore on the water, so the combination certainly had the most solid of foundations.
